FAQ’s

Q: How do I get started?
A: You can call or text me at (905) 933-1035 , you can also fill out the form on our contact us page or you can send us an email directly in order to  schedule a Meet and Greet visit. On our initial visit to your home, you and your pet will get an opportunity to meet me and discuss your pets needs . This is your time to share any special instructions (does  your pet  need to be fed? any medications? do they need to be crated?) as well as fill out a small packet of paperwork. The meet and greet also provides you and I and your pet  an opportunity to determine if we are a good fit for one another.

Q: When is payment due? What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Payment is due on the last walk of each week . We  accept cheques , cash and e-transfers  as methods of payment.

Q: What time will you walk my dog?
A: Our group  walks take place anywhere between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00p.m. Private walks are as arranged between us.

Q: What if I need to cancel or add a walk?
A: If you need to cancel a walk please let me know before 9am . If I arrive at your home and you cancel or your dog is not there you will be charged for that walk. I will do everything that I can to help if you need a walk last minute.

Q: What happens in bad weather conditions?
A: Your dogs safety is our top priority. In the event of extreme weather (thunderstorms, blizzards, and heat waves) we may modify the length of the  walk ( or omit the walk altogether ) and have some indoor playtime for the remainder of your dogs allotted time slot.

Q:  Is your home/vehicle air conditioned?
A:  Absolutely.

Q: Do most clients  provide you with a copy of their keys?
A: Most clients provide a set of keys during the initial Meet and Greet visit. We keep your keys in a locked box for safe keeping.

Q: What if my dog becomes sick or injured during a walk?
A: During the initial meet and greet, you will sign a veterinary release form that will be kept on file. In the event of illness/injury, this form authorizes us to seek medical attention at your clinic on your behalf. Every attempt will be made to contact you during an emergency. Also I am Pet First Aid certified and carry a first aid kit .

Q:  What equipment do you use for walking my dog?
A:  I have leashes and harnesses that I use for our walks.

Q: Will my dog be safe in a group adventure?
A: In order for your dog to be a part of an off leash  group walk he/she must be dog and people friendly and must have good recall (must come when called).

Q:Will my dog get dirty?
A: If it’s a rainy/wet day likely yes! I encourage you to keep a towel by the door so that if needed I can towel off your dog upon our return. I would also be happy to crate him/her or contain in a specific area of your home.
